The Blue Moat United States Medium to Large Capital Growth & Covered Derivative Class I FundTM was created for the younger, conservative investor, who are looking to learn without sacrificing time and returns. The objective of this fund is to attempt to achieve a modest and consistent 12-15% return regardless of market conditions. The fund is a conservatively managed, lower risk vessel which is restricted to investing in US growth equities with larger than $10 billion in market capitalization. The fund only consists of long equity positions and covered call strategies to optimize returns in volatile market conditions. The use of in the money covered call writing aims to protect the invested capital as well as take a conservative approach to earn no more than 12% to 15% per annum, in exchange for less downside exposure. The fund is profit driven, as opposed to compounding driven. Trading equity and covering options are done regardless of market conditions, that is, no short term market speculation occurs.
